Welcome to “Drive Me to the Moon!” I got the idea for it when the odometer on my 2007 Honda Accord reached 240,000 miles and I recognized it as a common number used to express the distance from the earth to the moon (I now have more than 440,000 miles on the odometer!). This site is dedicated to people who love to drive and for all of us who enjoy seeing our beautiful country.

Here is a selection of Atlases and Gazeteers that I use and recommend. I prefer to use a map book rather than a GPS to easily scan a large area and zero in on a specific location. We’ve all used the trusty Rand McNally Road Atlas for years, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the detail shown in DeLorme’s Gazeteers.
